Geography Education National Implementation Project (GENIP)
Working together to improve geography education for all students across the United States.
Formed in 1984, GENIP is a coordinating committee across several organizations who share a common mission to improve geography teaching and learning in the US.
Working together, the GENIP member organizations provide a shared mission and voice on policy that affects the quality of geography education.
In 2015-2016, GENIP funded the Geography Indicators Project to collect state level data on the status of geography education across the US.
